About the role
Based at our Penn Street campus, the postholder will be the first point of contact for students and visitors at Point Blank Music School London, welcoming and directing them to the classroom(s), event space or meeting rooms. The postholder will be responsible for dealing with student queries and undertaking a range of other administrative tasks as identified by the Student Experience Manager or Registrar. This includes answering phone calls from students and supporting them through their query and owning that query from end to end.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the creation of a highly positive student experience through the provision of outstanding customer service.
- Greet and welcome visitors and students to the Point Blank, Penn Street office.
- Ensure students are admitted to the building and signposted to their classes where required.
- Ensure visitors are appropriately greeted, signed in, and escorted to where they need to be.
- Receive and sign for any deliveries to Point Blank, informing the relevant staff of arrival and log accordingly.
- Answer calls from the main enquiries and student enquiries lines and divert to relevant persons.
- In the event of a fire and/or any other emergency, which requires staff to leave the building, be responsible for ensuring that the visitors book and student registers are removed from reception and taken to the outside meeting point.
- Ensure that all relevant activity is captured in the student record appropriately, and that relevant records are maintained accurately and securely and conform with GDPR UK.
- Responding to student queries from the internal communications system and taking ownership of problem solving end-to-end.
- Give general advice and guidance to students on matters relating to their studies and experience at Point Blank.
- Remain flexible to undertake ad hoc tasks as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION - Essential
Education
- Educated to Level 3 (A Level, BTEC/ UAL Diploma) or equivalent professional experience.
Experience
- Proven customer service experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Able to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
- IT Competent with a working understanding of Microsoft Office & Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
- Organised with strong administration skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Problem solver with the ability to react to changing circumstances.
- Understanding of GDPR UK and the handling of confidential data.
- Empathetic and understanding of the needs of a diverse student body

- Specific qualification in administration.

- Experience working in an administration role in an education environment.
