Learn to perform like a professional vocalist with our six-month Singing Award program. You’ll be taught in small groups to maximize your learning potential in our two college courses, Singing and Advanced Singing. As a graduate you’ll come away with the power to deliver incredible performances on stage or in a studio, and you'll join a global alumni community with the likes of Point Blank London graduate and X-Factor winner Leona Lewis. Learn from professional vocalists such as Grammy-winner Carol De Leon in groups of just 6 students or less, and get the benefit of focused voice instruction.

Grammy Award winner Carol de Leon has bachelor's and master's degrees in voice performance from UC Riverside and CSU Northridge and deep experience as a recording artist, choir director, and singing instructor.
Starting out in the '80's, Dave's incredible adventures include Psychic TV, Anne Clark, ONU Sound System, Andy Weatherall, Lee Scratch Perry, Billy Ray Martin, with countless albums and live projects.
An Ableton Certified Trainer and Pioneer DJ Battle Championship winner, Mikhail Arce-Ignacio (Mecha) is a versatile producer, engineer, music director, DJ and live electronic performer.
A founding member of world famous rap group N.W.A, Arabian Prince has written, rapped on, and produced some of the most influential tracks in the history of hip hop in an industry career spanning almost four decades.
Sameer is an electronic music producer, mixer & mastering engineer who has worked with The Crystal Method, Smashing Pumpkins, Tori Amos, Sting, and more on labels including EMI, Atlantic, Universal, and Defected.
I started with absolutely no experience and came out with all the tools to further develop my voice. As a producer, I work regularly with singers and rappers so my lack of vocal knowledge often left me in a frustrating position. Now when working other singers I can effectively communicate and demonstrate ideas for them to try. Cathleen has been dancing all her life & already accomplished a bunch of amazing things while studying at PB. She toured with Kanye West as part of his creative team and is a DJ and classically trained pianist.
PBLA Certificate student Travis is a KCRW DJ spinning lost un-classics, playful electronics, spine-snapping breaks and a quirky selection of mind-melting grooves by the pound. Served fresh weekly.
PBLA graduate Gina holds residencies in top California night clubs, tours internationally & plays festivals around the world from Rhythm & Vines in New Zealand, to Soundwave Canada & Burning Man.
Kamel aka Dead-Tones is Guy Gerber’s protege, personal assistant and tour manager. Over Summer he is based in Ibiza as Rumours' main resident, and has releases on labels including Kindisch, Motek, Dialtones Records.
Co-founder of 'A Club Called Rhonda', has organized parties in LA & beyond for the past 8 years. Known for its stylish crowd and underground vibe, Rhonda hosts up-and-coming DJs and artists alike.
None at all! Every Point Blank student has access to their own fully-equipped workstation in class and during their practical studio work outside of class time. If you decide to purchase equipment for your own home studio, we will be happy to help you arrange student discounts from our leading industry partners including Apple, Ableton, Pioneer, Native Instruments, Serato, Izotope, Waves, and more.
For each 10-week course within in this program, class meets once per week for 4 hours (with a 15-minute break included) at one of the following session times:
10:00am – 2:00pm (Morning Session)
2:30pm – 6:30pm (Afternoon Session)
7:00pm – 11:00pm (Evening Session)
Some programs contain up to 4 courses per quarter, so check the "Key Info" section on each program page to see how many classes you'll be attending each week. Classes are scheduled before the start of each quarter; call (323) 594-8740 for the most up-to-date information on scheduling and class availability. Our facilities are also open for student use six to seven days a week (depending on the quarterly course schedule), giving you valuable studio time to make your music and reinforce your new skills outside of class sessions.

Yes. Classes are usually available in the evening and on weekends, and we will be happy to arrange a class schedule that works around your other professional commitments. International students have different options for attending Point Blank classes depending on their country of origin. These include the B2 visitor visa, the ESTA visa waiver program, and more. We do not offer F or M student visas at this time.
