If you want to produce your own tracks and play them live, the 6-month DJ/Producer Certificate is for you. This program will teach you a wide range of skills to get you ready to jump onto the DJ circuit. You’ll gain mastery over your workstation and equipment, use creative DJ skills on both analog and digital turntables, create your own songs in your chosen DAW (Ableton Live or Logic Pro), and discover the art of mixing. The courses are taught by industry professionals who’ve worked with acts such as Skrillex and Pharrell, so you know you’re in good hands.
This program is delivered at our brand-new campus in the Miracle Mile neighborhood of Los Angeles. You'll learn on the latest industry tech such as Ableton Live, Push, Logic Pro, NI Komplete, and Pioneer DJ gear like the CDJ-3000, DJM-V10, CDJ-2000NXS, XDJ-XZ, RMX-1000, and more. All students who enroll in this course are entitled to receive a copy of Ableton Live 11 Suite or Apple Logic Pro X valued at $749 and $199 respectively. You’ll also attend exclusive masterclasses from the likes of Mark de Clive-Lowe, Laura Escude (Jay Z, Kanye West), Daddy Kev (Low End Theory), and Jimmy Mac (Lorde). An organizer of the Moontribe Collective, dela Moon’s full-bodied drum & bass and halftime is a signature of the LA underground. She's played EDC, Boom, Rainbow Serpent, and is a DJ Mag “Emerging Artist You Need To Hear.”
Resident DJ at Studio Paris (Chicago), played alongside Snoop Dogg, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kaskade, Afrojack, A-Trak, and Nas. Mixes on air Saturday nights for 103.5 KISS FM on iHeartRadio.
DJ ShanLynn is a DJ, VJ, and producer who mixes old school, pop, hip-hop, nu-disco, electronica, remixes, and mash-ups in her open-format sets. Her clients include Macy’s, ABC, Aveda, UMG, Forever 21, Loreal, Mercedes Benz, etc.
An Ableton Certified Trainer and Pioneer DJ Battle Championship winner, Mikhail Arce-Ignacio (Mecha) is a versatile producer, engineer, music director, DJ and live electronic performer.

Cathleen has been dancing all her life & already accomplished a bunch of amazing things while studying at PB. She toured with Kanye West as part of his creative team and is a DJ and classically trained pianist.
PBLA Certificate student Travis is a KCRW DJ spinning lost un-classics, playful electronics, spine-snapping breaks and a quirky selection of mind-melting grooves by the pound. Served fresh weekly.

Kamel aka Dead-Tones is Guy Gerber’s protege, personal assistant and tour manager. Over Summer he is based in Ibiza as Rumours' main resident, and has releases on labels including Kindisch, Motek, Dialtones Records.
Co-founder of 'A Club Called Rhonda', has organized parties in LA & beyond for the past 8 years. Known for its stylish crowd and underground vibe, Rhonda hosts up-and-coming DJs and artists alike.

None at all! Every Point Blank student has access to their own fully-equipped workstation in class and during their practical studio work outside of class time. If you decide to purchase equipment for your own home studio, we will be happy to help you arrange student discounts from our leading industry partners including Apple, Ableton, Pioneer, Native Instruments, Serato, Izotope, Waves, and more.
For each 10-week course within in this program, class meets once per week for 4 hours (with a 15-minute break included) at one of the following session times:
10:00am – 2:00pm (Morning Session)
2:30pm – 6:30pm (Afternoon Session)
7:00pm – 11:00pm (Evening Session)
Some programs contain up to 4 courses per quarter, so check the "Key Info" section on each program page to see how many classes you'll be attending each week. Classes are scheduled before the start of each quarter; call (323) 594-8740 for the most up-to-date information on scheduling and class availability. Our facilities are also open for student use six to seven days a week (depending on the quarterly course schedule), giving you valuable studio time to make your music and reinforce your new skills outside of class sessions.

Yes. Classes are usually available in the evening and on weekends, and we will be happy to arrange a class schedule that works around your other professional commitments. International students have different options for attending Point Blank classes depending on their country of origin. These include the B2 visitor visa, the ESTA visa waiver program, and more. We do not offer F or M student visas at this time.
