Here’s the thing...  

When watching a game on TV, what do you watch? For the majority of us, the answer is: THE BALL. 

There is a problem with this method! You are missing out on opportunities to study what truly matters!

In our Film Breakdown portion of our group training, players will study film with Point Blank Period Skill Development Coaches. In these sessions, players will learn how to analyze and discuss possessions both offensively and defensively. 

We aren’t just focused on the ball. We are more focused on what the other players are doing. Topics like rotations, cutting, screening and communication are all examined.  

Because players have the opportunity to attend 3 times a week for 4 weeks straight, this gives our coaching staff the opportunity to work on our player’s functional strength and explosiveness.  

There is a direct correlation between athleticism and skill. The biggest hindrance to a player’s true progress is their inability to stay in GREAT SHAPE!  

Skills including but not limited to ballhandling, footwork, passing, rebounding, shooting and finishing will all be covered.

Make no mistake, these skills are very important.

Equally as important is your ability to effectively communicate, win the “Point of Attack” and properly rotate according to scheme and personnel. Players will learn these staples of our program at the HIGHEST LEVEL!

The best part of our group training is having the ability to DRILL team concepts with our players. Plenty of 3 on 3, 4 on 4 and 5 on 5 drills will help our players immediately apply concepts learned in film and skill sessions.  

Breakdown drills of this nature are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TOWARDS A PLAYERS DEVELOPMENT. Training is not simply “getting better handle” or a more “consistent jumpshot”.  

Developing habits such as talking, jumping into help positions and staying on your feet are crucial in the grand scheme of the game.  

This will be the best “practice” environment that a player can possibly receive. Attend all 12 and you will see HUGE results both physically and mentally. Point Blank Period.
